our secret elves

We have had some elves knocking on our door the past few nights.  It has been so fun to see what they have left behind for us!  It is especially exciting for Aubrie.  The last time someone did this for our family she was alot younger and so it has been especially nice for her.  With my son being gone this Christmas serving a mission in Mexico for the LDS church, it has really helped fill some of the emptiness of not having him here.  Not that he can be replaced by some hot cocoa hehe, but the fact that someone has taken the time and effort for our family has meant so much!  Sometimes it is hard to be on the receiving line on things, I am a giver...I like to give. But this has been such a humbling experience for us to receive.  I think the key word is HUMBLE!  I am so grateful for a family that cared enough to share some Christmas joy with our family this year, and for the blessing that it has been for our family.  I totally believe in Santa and Elves!  They are ordinary people doing Extraordinary things!  Blessing lives along the way.    We also were left a jar of money on our porch.  As I think of who did this, my heart is so full of thankfulness, and joy.  I am filled with gratitude for a loving heavenly father who takes care of the needs of his children through others that in this season we call "elves!"

That is so cool! Isn't it nice to feel loved? :)

By the way, I hope I'm not too late to post a comment for Elder Marsh ... tell him the Becks say hi and wish him a, "Merry Christmas" and hope he's enjoying Mexico!
