Our Sweet Little Aubrie is no longer a little girl anymore! She is turning more and more into a beautiful Young Lady (Boo Hoo Hoo Sob Sob Sniff Sniff!) I guess because she is the youngest that I don't want her to grow up! And not only that she is our only girl! Today marks the Day of her birth 11 years ago! Here are some Interesting Facts about Aubrie
1. Aubrie was named after a song from 1970's. I loved that song as a girl, and always wanted to have it as my little girls name
2. Aubrie has ALWAYS been a animal LOVER! Even as a little baby, she loved dogs, cats and horses.
3. She would rather play with animal toys than barbies or dolls, (which I could never understand, because I was a big doll lover myself!)
4. Aubrie collects the "Littlest Pet Shop" animals and has as of today 203 of them, and knows each of them by name. She said she is going to keep them for her kids to play with. Alot of them I picked up on EBay for way cheap! all of them have mint numbers and we have documented them in a scrapbook so if she ever wants to sell them she will get top dollar most of them are retired now which makes them even more valuable. She just got 35 of them for her birthday from brothers and mom and dad.
5. Aubrie is the only girl in our family, with 3 older teen aged brothers
6. Aubr"ie" is not the common spelling of her name, but I wanted her to have part of my name so I added the "ie" from my name onto hers
7. Aubrie Had a Playhouse bed that Tim and I designed for her when she was 5 years old, it was a play house with a bed in the "Attic" and a ladder to climb up to the top. That bed was a bugger to make with new sheets! but she had fun playing house in it with her friends and cousins.
This is Aubrie and Nicole this past summer dressed like "Old Women" they had so much fun that night, if they only knew how much fun it is to be a kid instead of an old woman!
8. Because Aubrie doesn't have any sisters, she has bonded with her girl cousins and has told me many times that they are her sisters. She has a cousin that she has a sleep over with every Friday, it is "Their Tradition"
9. Aubrie Plays the Piano and is doing very well. She has a Festival coming up soon in which she is starting to practice her recital songs for.
10. Aubrie is very tenderhearted and has a heart of gold. and is sensitive to others around her. Aubrie cries in movies when any animal gets hurt (she is a true blue animal lover!)
12. Aubrie loves to go to the Rodeo and wants to someday be in one.
13. Aubrie likes to play sports with the boys, but is not a "Tomboy".
14. Aubrie had sweat pant outfits when she was little... of a cat, a elephant and dog and a bunny. They were her favorites and when she would wear them she would crawl around acting like that animal (such good memories!)
15. Our next door neighbor girl Cari, fell in love with Aubrie when she was a baby and soon became a big part of our family. We took her on all our family vacations even Disneyland. Aubrie named her Momma#2. even though Cari is now married and lives far away, Aubrie still thinks of her as her momma#2. or a big sister!
(Aubrie has outgrown all her church dresses so we went shopping and got 5 new outfits for less than $30 at the local thrift store. luckily she is not ashamed to wear second hand clothing)
16. Aubrie would get sick every Tuesday or Wednesday after taking her to church for about 2 years while she was in the nursery! We defiantly put alot of trips into the Dr's office with her!
17. Aubrie started wearing glasses in 4th grade and is so cute in them.
18. She is fun to be around and enjoys being around others She is a social butterfly (wonder where she got that from?)
19. Aubrie has always been my fruits and vegetables girl! she loves them! she is also our snickity snackity girl and loves any candy!
20. Aubrie has always had the bad habit of taking sips out of mine and Tim's drinks, if you ask her to go get you a drink of water, you can count on that she has taken several sips along the way of bringing it to you :) 21. Aubrie just started taking clogging and jazz dance class and loves them. She Also likes to Exercise
22. Aubrie loves to read books and has asked for books each Christmas
23. Aubrie thought for 2 years that Weston was the Tooth Fairy, because she wanted to talk to the tooth fairy and so I dialed Weston's phone and asked him to disguise his voice. But Aubrie knew right away it was Weston and so she then thought he was the Tooth Fairy, she even mailed him a tooth she lost over the summer when he was in Catalina, and he mailed money back to her!
24. for Aubrie's birthday this year she wanted me to make a home made ice cream candy bar cake, so I chopped and chopped up all sorts of candy bars, I made brownies with candy bars and then thawed out ice cream and stirred in candy bars to that and then spread it over the brownies, it was so good that everyone asked for a candy bar cake for their birthdays! great now what kind of tradition did I start!
25. Aubrie is a snuggle bug! she loves to lay in our bed and even now she comes in after Tim is up and snuggles with me. (oh how I love little snugly children!)
26. Aubrie Likes to Dress up nice and Fancy. When she was little she always loved dressing up, and would ask Weston to put her hair up on her head like Cindy Lou Who!
26. Aubrie is willing to help and loves to cook and sew
27. Aubrie plays a mean hand of Phase 10, and often times wins! she also loves to play board games and other games.
28. Aubrie probably has the best imagination out of all the kids. She loves to play pretend
29. One time Aubrie crawled out of her stroller at JcPenney when she was 2, I couldn't find her for almost 5 Min's (what seemed an eternity) I found her in the Pantie section holding several pairs of women's panties saying "Silky Panties" Needless to say I bought her her own pair of Silky panties!
30. Aubrie scribbled on all our newly painted walls when she was little! we didn't repaint them for several years to make sure she was out of the "Artistic Phase"
31. One time when Aubrie was 2, I was babysitting my Niece Lauren (who was also 2) and Seth who was about 6 months. I was changing Seth's Diaper and couldn't find Aubrie and Lauren, I searched for them high and low! I went down into the basement into the boys bedroom and to my horror they had colored on each other with marker every inch of their bodies were covered except where their diapers were, it was soooo funny! they even colored on the wall and furniture and all in about 5 mins! Thank goodness for washable markers!
