Wow! where does all the time fly to? I cannot believe my little boy is turning 18 today! I sometimes wish that time could stand still and I could just keep my little ones little forever! Michael has been such a blessing to my life and to our families. He is funny, Witty and creative. He is like me, for the fact that there is never a dull moment around him! He has grown into such a fine young man. I asked Michael a few days ago what he wanted to be when he grows up, and he said...I don't want to grow up! It reminded me of the timeless story of Peter Pan. Mike said he has had too much fun being a kid, and isn't quite ready to give that up! I reassured him that he could still play with Lego's as long as he wanted to! I am quite certain that most people really deep down inside do not really want to grow up, and those who do, look back and realize and ask themselves why was I in such a hurry to grow up after all! Some of my favorite things in life were when I was little. Like only having to clean my room, and not having to make dinner and balance a checkbook! ect...
Mike has several goals for this year, He said he is excited to Graduate from High School, and then he will work full time and focus on earning money so that when he turns 19, he can go on a full time mission for the Church Of Latter Day Saints. He is looking forward to that. He has a great desire to play his bagpipes, and will probably still play them in parades this year.
